Blue Bird High School, Sec-16, Panchkula, commemorated Earth Day with engaging activities promoting environmental responsibility. The day featured an inspiring speech and a school-wide pledge to protect the Earth.
Younger students (grades 1-2) creatively recycled paper scraps, while grades 3-5 upcycled old toys. Senior students (grades 6-10) expressed their environmental messages through t-shirt painting, and a "Be a Superhero and Save the Earth" poster competition fostered visual storytelling around conservation.
Highlighting their commitment to a greener future, the school organized a plantation drive, with students planting saplings on campus. Additionally, Blue Bird High School integrated technology with environmental awareness by introducing QR codes for its trees and plants, providing information on their ecological significance.
The enthusiastic participation and tangible green initiatives underscored the school's dedication to cultivating environmentally conscious citizens.

BAISAKHI CELEBRATION

Blue Bird High School, Sec – 16, Panchkula, today celebrated the auspicious festival of Baisakhi with immense joy and a vibrant display of talent and cultural appreciation.
The day commenced with a special morning assembly that set a melodious tone for the celebrations. Students, adorned in colourful traditional attire, sang a beautiful Baisakhi song, filling the air with festive cheer and reflecting the rich cultural heritage of Punjab.
Following the musical start, the assembly continued with a thought-provoking recitation of a poem on the significance and celebration of Baisakhi.
The kindergarten students, added an extra dose of charm to the celebrations with a delightful fancy dress competition dressed as farmers, sunflowers, and other symbols associated with Baisakhi.
The artistic talents of students from classes III to VIII were also on full display through a range of creative activities like kite making, dholak making, and poster making etc.
The event served as a wonderful platform to educate students about the cultural significance of Baisakhi.

"Groovy ,Giggles and Glitters (Annual Function of KIndergarten )

Blue Bird High School (A senior secondary school) Sector 16, Panchkula, hosted its vibrant kindergarten annual function, Groovy Giggles and Glitters, with great enthusiasm and joy on 22nd March, 2025 in the school auditorium. The event was a delightful showcase of the young learners' talents, leaving the audience mesmerized.
The function commenced with a soulful recital of the Hanuman Chalisa, filling the atmosphere with devotion and positivity. This was followed by an inspiring act, Say No to Plastic, where tiny tots conveyed an important environmental message through an engaging performance.
Adding to the emotions of the evening, A Salute to Mothers was a heartfelt tribute to the unconditional love and sacrifices of mothers, bringing tears of joy to many. The excitement continued with the peppy Shalala act, spreading laughter and happiness all around.
A special highlight of the evening was a dazzling Garba performance, where the young dancers swayed gracefully to traditional beats, captivating the audience with their colourful attire and synchronized moves. The event reached its grand finale with an energetic Haryanvi dance, celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Haryana and leaving the audience spellbound.
Chief Guest Mrs. Nipun Checker and Guest of honour Mr. Sanjiv Checker addressed all the parents and praised the tiny tots for their confidence and enthusiasm and commended the school for fostering holistic development through such creative platforms.
The enthusiastic participation of the little ones made Groovy Giggles and Glitters a memorable and joyous occasion. The event was filled with fun, laughter, and learning, leaving a lasting impression on parents, teachers, and guests alike.
Principal Ms. Vandna Bhatnagar expressed immense pride in the students and appreciated their efforts. Function concluded with loud cheers and applause, marking yet another milestone in the school’s journey.
