Blue Bird High School (A Senior Secondary School) celebrated the cherished festival of Raksha Bandhan with immense joy, warmth and festive spirit. The celebration began with a soulful song and speech highlighting the festival’s cultural significance and the values of love, respect, and responsibility.
Students participated enthusiastically in creative activities, making glitter-paper rakhis, rakhi envelopes, and air-soft clay/moulded-clay rakhis, craft and rhyme activities. Their colourful handmade creations reflected their creativity and imagination.
The Principal Ms. Vandna Bhatnagar appreciated the students’ participation and emphasized that such celebrations promote harmony, empathy, creativity, confidence and a connection with our cultural heritage.
Independence Day celebration (Har Ghar Tiranga)

The echoes of patriotic songs and the fluttering tricolour transformed the campus into a vibrant symbol of unity as the school celebrated Independence Day with immense enthusiasm, patriotism and national pride. The morning assembly commenced with singing of National Song followed by Speech and National Flag hoisting ceremony. Students decorated the whole school with tricolour and took selfie with them.
Different activities designed under the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign 2026 were organised, to promote awareness and respect for the National Flag.
The Principal of the school, Ms. Vandna Bhatnagar emphasized the students to remember the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and pledge to uphold the values of unity, integrity, and patriotism. She also urged that students are the future of the nation and should strive for excellence in academics, character, and service to society.
Mock Parliament

In the true spirit of democracy and civic education, Students of Blue Bird High School Sector-16, Panchkula, Class- VIII enacted the MOCK PARLIAMENT and brought a replica of Indian Parliament.The topic of a mock parliament was “The Energy Conservation (Amendment) Bill”.
Around 40 students participated and created the look of a real parliament. During the discussion many important issues were raised like focuses on promoting energy efficiency, encouraging the use of clean and renewable sources of energy, reducing carbon emissions, and protecting our environment for future generations. The leaders of the opposition criticised the government for its failure on various policies. The ruling party tried to defend the government.
It provides students with a valuable opportunity to step into the shoes of legislators, debating critical issues that affect our society. It is a platform where they can express their opinions, develop public speaking skills, and gain a deeper understanding of the democratic process.
School Principal Vandna Bhatnagar appreciated the efforts of the students and said that as a responsible citizen, it is our duty to understand the importance of conserving energy and contributing towards sustainable development.
