Mock Parliament

In the true spirit of democracy and civic education, Students of Blue Bird High School Sector-16, Panchkula, Class- VIII enacted the MOCK PARLIAMENT and brought a replica of Indian Parliament.The topic of a mock parliament was “The Energy Conservation (Amendment) Bill”.

Around 40 students participated and created the look of a real parliament. During the discussion many important issues were raised like focuses on promoting energy efficiency, encouraging the use of clean and renewable sources of energy, reducing carbon emissions, and protecting our environment for future generations. The leaders of the opposition criticised the government for its failure on various policies. The ruling party tried to defend the government.

It provides students with a valuable opportunity to step into the shoes of legislators, debating critical issues that affect our society. It is a platform where they can express their opinions, develop public speaking skills, and gain a deeper understanding of the democratic process.

School Principal Vandna Bhatnagar appreciated the efforts of the students and said that as a responsible citizen, it is our duty to understand the importance of conserving energy and contributing towards sustainable development.

Kargil Vijay Diwas

Blue Bird High School, Panchkula commemorated Kargil Vijay Diwas with a week-long series of activities to honor the valor, sacrifice, and dedication of the Indian Armed Forces during the 1999 Kargil War. The objective was to nurture patriotism and gratitude among students towards the nation and its heroes.
The kindergarten students crafted the National Flag, recited patriotic rhymes, and enjoyed tricolor hand tattoos on their hands, adding to the patriotic spirit.
The English department of the school conducted paragraph writing on themes like “Courage of Our Soldiers”, “Lessons from Kargil”. The school choir sang, “ Vande Matram and the National Anthem with true spirits of patriotism and respect for our war heroes. Students delivered inspiring speeches in the morning assembly , highlighting the bravery of Indian soldiers and the significance of Kargil Vijay Diwas in India’s history. Students from Classes 6 to 10 created powerful artwork, sketches, and posters on the theme “Saluting Our Heroes”.
The week long celebrations concluded with pride, unity, and a renewed sense of nationalism among students and staff.

World Youth Skills Day

Students of Blue Bird High School, Sector 16, Panchkula, celebrated World Youth Skills Day with students of AASHMA Foundation and Municipal Commissioner of Panchkula today with great enthusiasm.

The program began with planting a tree by honorable Chief Guest Mr. Vinay Kumar(IRPS) Municipal Corporation,
Panchkula, as a part of green initiative. Following a traditional Lamp Lighting ceremony was solemnized. A key highlight of the day was a powerful Nukkar Natak performed by the students of the school, illustrating the vital role of vocational and practical skills in today's world. A small exhibition was organized to exhibit various skills of the student’s artwork crafted from waste materials. This display proudly spotlighted the school’s ongoing eco-campaign, where students collect plastic bottles monthly and upcycle them into stunning creative artifacts.

Another Nukkar Natak with a strong message of cleanliness and use of proper dustbins for different types of wastes was featured by students of AASHMA Foundation.Chief Guest Shri. Vinay Kumar(IRPS) Municipal Corporation , Panchkula addresses all the students and teaching faculty with a motivating speech on the importance of skill-based education.
