Grandparents day celebration by kindergarten students

Students of kindergarten celebrated Grandparents Day in collaboration with the members of EARLY ACT CLUB “ASHA KI KIRAN”, of Rotary Club, Chandigarh Central on 20th Sept.25, Saturday with immense joy, love and enthusiasm. The event was a heart-warming tribute to the invaluable role of grandparents in a child’s life.
The celebration began with the lighting of the lamp and a soulful prayer by LKG students. A sweet rhyme was recited by Nursery students, filling the atmosphere with love and innocence.
Grandparents actively participated in fun games and sang old songs and shared their cherished experiences with the children. Their joyful presence and lively participation added a special sparkle to the day.
Kindergarten Students showcased their talent with a dance performance on the popular Dada Dadi song and the UKG children showcased Unity in Diversity by portraying themselves as Dada-Dadi and Nana-Nani from different states of India.
The celebration at Blue Bird High School truly strengthened the special bond between grandparents and grandchildren and created golden memories to be treasured forever.

Celebration of Grandparent's Day with Old Age inmates

Under the National Eye Donation fortnight EARLY ACT CLUB, “ASHA KI KIRAN” of Blue Bird High School , Sector- 16, Panchkula visited on 8th September 2025 under Rotary Club Chandigarh Central the school doctor enlightened all the elderly inmates about do’s and don’ts regarding their eyes and motivated them to donate eyes as vision is the life’s greatest blessing.
The students celebrated , Dada Dadi Diwas with the inmates of Old Age Home , Sector-15, Panchkula and shared Marie Biscuits and Sandwiches as a mid-day treat for them. They also sang a beautiful “dada dadi humko pyare “song for them.

Awareness Session on Eye Care and Donation

National Eye Donation Awareness Fortnight (25th August – 8th September) gives us a powerful opportunity to serve humanity in a unique way. Vision is one of life’s greatest blessings, and through eye donation, we can help restore it for countless people.
Dr. Ashok Gupta Medical Director ,Drishti Eye Hospital Panchkula, visited Blue Bird High School sector 16 Panchkula on Saturday,  6th Sept. 2025 to enlighten us with talk on ,”The vision is one of the life’s greatest blessings. "The talk was arranged by Interactors of Interact Club under Rotary Club Chandigarh Central of Blue Bird High School.
Dr. Ashok Gupta highlighted common vision problems faced by students, the impact of excessive screen time, preventive measures for maintaining good eyesight, and the importance of regular eye check-ups. Practical tips on eye exercises, healthy lifestyle habits, and correct posture while studying were also shared. The interactive session allowed students to clear their doubts and gain valuable insights into eye care practices. Parents were also invited to attend, making the initiative more impactful and community-oriented.
